Delusion
 
Let’s start with having to say I’m Black,
In my Whitney Houston voice, “that shit’s wack”
Not because I am ashamed of my race in any form or fashion.
It’s because as I put a black shirt on my brown skin, I occasionally think to myself there’s gotta be a better option.
The term “Brown” isn’t much better, however it comes with slightly less discrimination.
It might help create a little more love, and understanding, maybe just a little more inclusion.
The whole world wants to look like a brown girl, who got all her swag from a black girl, yet black girls still aren’t celebrated.
I don’t know how to exist in all this delusion.
